Skirt - Alice + Olivia; Top - Topshop; Platforms - Topshop
I've decided to do a winter 2011 outfit project. Basically i will choose a few items of clothing and put them together with a make up look I think suits the look and then tell you about my choices. Next i will be putting together an outdoor winter look.
From this outfit I'm trying to achieve a quiet simple wintry style outfit. I've noticed a lot of pleated leather skirts around lately and thought one would work really well with a light embellished top. I think the more Gothic masculine side of the leather, against the delicate crystal detailing of the top gives a really pretty finish. Basically the shoes just add to the simple look I was going for, black suede platforms, very relevant for winter and one of my favourite shoe choices at the moment. The make up was basically based on the burgundy lip. Burgundy is one of my favourite colours at the moment and its everywhere! The make up is beautiful really simple and elegant and looks perfect with the outfit. I'm really happy with the outfit and would definitely wear this (with some knitted tights and a big coat!) Let me know what you guys think.

Okay, so by no means is this dress that good but i was pretty pleased with it, as it was the first dress i made myself. The fabric was just the first half decent i found and i was just experimenting. I actually really enjoyed making this dress, even though its a little to wide and a little to short - i was pleased with the outcome. Please let me know what you think, if i make any more clothing i'll be sure to post a picture and maybe i will have made some progress!
I cannot believe how long its been since i last did a post, such an awful blogger! I've really wanted to post, but not really had any inspiration or time to do so.
Anyway on Friday its our mock interviews and i'm pretty nervous, but my main worry is what to wear! So i was planning on wearing my black skinny jeans, with my sheer black shirt (pictured in my other post) and my tweed blazer. Now, when i've been speaking to my friends apparently black skinny jeans aren't very 'smart'. However, i've run out of time to go out and buy a new outfit. So i need your help, do you think skinny jeans give off the wrong impression and are not 'smart' enough?
The picture above shows two very smart, simple outfits that i think work perfectly for work or an interview and thought they'd be a useful bit of inspiration to anyone like me going to an interview and in a complete dilemma about what to wear. (Plus the outfit above is with skinny jeans and looks perfect!)

Once again Acne has produced a breathtakingly amazing collection! I came across this collection on the Acne website and watched the video of the show. From the first outfit i was hooked. I don't know how to describe these garments but there's something kind of futuristic/androgynous/feminine all in one collection (if that's possible.) Let me explain. The bold colours and flowing fabrics suggest to me a kind of modern, unique feel. The way the fabric seems to drape perfectly over the models body. Or maybe its those sunglasses that make me think futuristic, i don't know. But what i do know is that its fabulous. There's a masculine feels to the collection with the very straight blazers and the high neck jackets. Where as the colour and the flared skirts give such a feminine look.
This whole collection set such a high standard for Acne fashion house and honestly is one of my favourite collections i've seen. I can definitely take a lot of inspiration from this collection for spring summer 2012. I'll also be keeping an eye out for the black giant-tassel loafer!
Let me know what you think of this collection!
I haven't posted in so long! I've been so busy recently with getting back into school and doing the piles of coursework i'm now getting, i've just had no time to do a post! This is just a starter to say im sorry and i'll try my best to post more often! Next i'll be doing a post on the amazing ACNE SS12 collection so check that out!

Hey guys! I've been pretty busy these last few days, with working and seeing friends. Yesterday me and 8 friends went shopping in Manchester, we had such a good time! I got these gorgeous shorts from H&M and these black suede wedges from New Look. The next picture is of my new school bag which i surprisingly got from the men's section in River Island, i'm very picky when it comes to bags and this one really stood out to me! Finally this amazing tweed blazer is from H&M also, I've been looking for a blazer like this for so long and when i saw it i had to have it! The last image is of my eaten breakfast of half a grapefruit and my black coffee - on top of my new ELLE magazine which arrived yesterday. Two more days till i go back to school, i'm currently sat in bed writing this blog post while watching 90210 - i'm planning on having a lazy day today! Them tomorrow im getting my hair cut and i'll post a picture of what it looks like, then back to school Wednesday!

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is one of my favourite models of the moment! She's been taking over my tumblr dashboard lately with these street style photos. With a face and a figure like hers she'd look amazing in anything, but she just so happens that she has a gorgeous style too - which make her that bit more fabulous. She's kinda girly grunge a style that i much see myself wearing. She's defiantly a skinny jeans and flats girl, but those heels on the last image are to die for!
What's your views on Rosie Huntington-Whiteley?
